Secondly, there are some special requirements for gear pumps in the production of rubber. In this industry, such pumps are frequently used for many typical rubber compounds such as butadiene, nitrile, neoprene, nitrile and natural rubber. Due to the properties of these compounds, pumps have to face a number of challenges in production. Compared to thermoplastics, these rubber compounds can be processed at considerably lower temperatures, but combustion or coking can still occur. In addition, they suffer from other combustion problems such as high viscosity, low lubricity and high wear resistance. In short, ordinary gear pumps simply cannot meet the production requirements of these compounds. So something about the gear pump should be redesigned. For example, to control the temperature, there is a coolant mechanism in the pump body and pump shaft. Parts prone to wear should be coated with special reinforcing materials. "
